Why Nepal? Tourist View !!

An American lady, Dorothy Alfonso, grouped teen age was thinking about her journey to other new countries like Nepal, India and other more. Specially, Asian countries took the priority in her choice. Fortunately, she got the time to come to Nepal for some months. She is nowadays here visiting kathmandu doing the volunteering in an international school together. Cute and clever lady, Alfonso is satisfied visiting the Nepal. Actually, she wants to go more and more village and hilly area of Nepal. But, she already was in Pokhara and its nearest places. During this period she really having fun and feeling easy to stay in Nepal. 

Even in her passing teen age period she was not known about the country, Nepal. After she heard about the Nepal from her friend’s father who had already been in Nepal once. He suggested her about Nepal and even carried her to Nepal last month. Now, she is thankful to her friend’s father who carried her here. But, she is not here only with her friend’s father her other 3 friends are also there with her friend’s father. Though she is not feeling bore here in kathmandu, all of them are in pokhara now except Dorothy.

 

Actually, in one word she named “piece of heaven” to Nepal. She thinks that, it is really beautiful and cultural country. paatan durbar square , basantapur, bauddhanaath, swyambhu, pashupati are her favorite cultural places in kathmandu. In this time making a leave for a day she is also going to a one day hiking near the kathmandu, like nagarkot, seto gumbaa etc. even though, it’s not much for her visiting kathmandu. Rather she has desire of going to Jhomsom, mustang, Annapurna trekking, ghale gaun, bahun dandaa, bandipur, sirubaari and other some of the beautiful rural place in hilly region.

Actually, she thinks that she will be full after she go jhomsom. She has already heard about jhomsom and some of the beautiful rural places of lamjung. During her 6 months long leave she wants visit and trekking to lots of Nepalese important places. And she hopes that after her Nepalese living she will impress to more and more American people and her friend. Alfonso will come with her Boyfriend next time. She is sure that her boyfriend will not deny her purpose to come to Nepal. Rather she hopes he will be happy to come to Nepal.

But, Dorothy hase some uneasy experience in Nepal, even in kathmandu. She feels so uneasy in traveling the local vehicle. She tells an experience in paatan durbar square that, a boy came near to her and tried to help her to show and describe the historical places. She was in her own way. But, the boy followed her for some time and showing and describing historical house, places. And after some time he asked for money. But, she denied. She remembers. And nowadays, she is very conscious about new boy and Nepalese youngsters.

She remembers, one day, she asked the way to go Bauddha Naath standing in chabahil chowk with a “khalasi”. But, the local van was moving to kalanki. And so, the “Khalasi” lies her that bauddha naath was there where he was going . and she entered in micro van. Khalasi asked for van cost widh her 20 rupees to swyambhu.

A very sad and humiliate thing even for Nepal government is that Alfonso as foreign tourist is not known of the Tourism year 2011 here now. She has not been informed by anybody still about the tourism year. She claims that this is response of Nepalese government and it’s agents to inform about this and showing cultural display. But still, she can see nothing here promoting tourism by government. She compeers the Nepal with her own country, America and feels off set. She again speaks about Nepal, “The Nepal is heaven naturally and culturally. But, people and government should grave it.”
